Let The Winds Blow - Misty Edwards

Awake, awake, O north wind
Awake, awake, O south wind; blow over me
Come, O winds of testing
Come, winds of refreshing; blow over me

Let the winds blow, let the winds blow (7x)
Let the winds blow

Fling wide the door to my soul
Open up the door to my heart
Have your way, have your way
Have your way, yeah

I won’t be afraid; I will face the wind
I won’t be afraid; I’ll embrace the flame

Take me through the fire, take me through the rain
Take me through the testing, I’ll do anything
Test me, try me, prove me, refine me like the gold, like the gold

The Eye of a Dove - by Wade E Taylor
Songs of Solomon | 14 Mei 2012 | 23:11:05

The Eye of a Dove

@by Wade E Taylor

goldcurl31.gif (360×65)

In the first chapter of the Song of Solomon, the Lord compliments His Bride, for He sees within her a quality, which He intensely desires to cultivate and use.

http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h342/thebrideofyeshua/Animatie%20Plaatjes/uiyy-4.gif“Behold, you are fair, My love! behold, you are fair!   You have dove's eyes.”   Song of Solomon 1:15

When a dove fixes its gaze upon its mate, it is not distracted by any activities around it.   Therefore, it is often referred to as being a “love bird.”

Our having this “dove's eye” indicates that we are becoming increasingly aware of the Lord's person and presence, and that we possess a spiritual awareness that will lift us above the pulls of the earthly.   This “single eye” will enable us to become sensitive to the Lord's presence, and obedient to His desire and purpose.

The Lord's favor rests upon those who have cultivated a “single eye” toward Him.   These can be easily led by Him, for they are close enough to see which way His eye is looking.

http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h342/thebrideofyeshua/Animatie%20Plaatjes/uiyy-4.gif“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”   Psalm 32:8

A horse, on the other hand is distracted by side-vision.   Therefore, it must have “blinders” placed beside each eye, and a “bit” set within its mouth.   Only then, can it be kept on the path.

Therefore, we are admonished:

http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h342/thebrideofyeshua/Animatie%20Plaatjes/uiyy-4.gif“Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding;   Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.”   Psalm 32:9

Once we have developed this “single eye” toward the Lord, we will no longer respond as a horse or mule - according to our desires.   We will have become responsive to Him alone.

Now the Lord can further instruct us, in order to prepare us to be brought into His chambers, a special prepared place where we can share with Him in the outworking of His redemptive purposes.

http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h342/thebrideofyeshua/Animatie%20Plaatjes/uiyy-4.gif“Come My beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages.   Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give you My loves.”   Song of Solomon 7:11-12

The quality that had so moved the Lord to be with His Bride in this cooperative relationship was her “single eye.”   She had cried out:

http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h342/thebrideofyeshua/Animatie%20Plaatjes/uiyy-4.gif“Tell me, O Thou Whom my soul loves, where You feed, where You make Your flock to rest at noon: For why should I be as one that turns aside by the flocks of Your companions.”   Song of Solomon 1:7

This intense desire that she expresses is singularly toward her Lord, and she seeks to gaze upon Him alone.   She can no longer be satisfied with a knowledge of things about the Lord.   The ministries, abilities, or personalities of His servants are no longer enough, for now she must personally know the Lord, Himself.

An intense reduction of all her ambitions, desires, and dreams has brought her to this place.   Now that her vision has become single, the Lord is ready to lead her on.   His next word to her is:

http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h342/thebrideofyeshua/Animatie%20Plaatjes/uiyy-4.gif“Rise up, My love, My fair one, and come away.”   Song of Solomon 2:10

Psalm 27 was written by David about his experience with the Lord during the time when he was hiding in a cave, while Saul's armies were outside, seeking to kill him.

In the darkness of his present circumstances, David's dreams about sitting on the throne of an earthly kingdom with all its grandeur, faded in the light of the eternal Kingdom, which he now saw.

In this seemingly hopeless situation, David realized that only that which is of God has any lasting value.   All else vanished in the darkness of the cave, including the hope of his sitting on the throne of Israel, according to the prophecy given him by Samuel.

David, now reduced to a single vision, has but one desire - to abide in the presence of the Lord.   The dark, musty cave has become a cathedral, for he has the “eye of a dove,” and sees only the Lord.

Only now could David say:

http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h342/thebrideofyeshua/Animatie%20Plaatjes/uiyy-4.gif“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? ... one thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.”
Psalm 27:1-4

The values in David's life are now in divine order, and the Lord can lead him to the throne of Israel.

http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h342/thebrideofyeshua/Animatie%20Plaatjes/uiyy-4.gif“But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”   Matthew 6:33

Today, the Lord is seeking those who are willing to be reduced to this singleness of vision.   Only then will He be able to say:

http://i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h342/thebrideofyeshua/Animatie%20Plaatjes/uiyy-4.gif“Behold, you are fair, you have dove's eyes.”   Song of Solomon 1:15

These will be led into a further experience of union with the Lord in the outworking of His Kingdom purposes upon the earth.

A Time For Being Shut Away
Shir HaShirim - The Song of Songs | 14 Mei 2012 | 22:58:44

A Time For Being Shut Away

uiyy-4.gif (40×40)“A garden enclosed is My sister, My spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.” Song of Solomon 4:12

goldcurl31.gif (360×65)

Her first testimony had been:

uiyy-4.gif (40×40)“My Beloved is mine, and I am His: He feeds among the lilies.” Song of Solomon 2:16

Her only concern was to know where the Lord was, and that He would respond if she needed Him. The Lord accepted this, and allowed the Bride to have all of the things she had desired. At the same time, He began to draw her to Himself by causing her to notice His interest in her.

uiyy-4.gif (40×40)“Behold, He stands behind our wall, He looks forth at the windows, showing Himself through the lattice.” Song of Solomon 2:9b

As she noticed that the Lord was looking through the window toward her, longing to be invited into the “room” of her spirit, there arose within her a deep inner stirring toward Him. She began to intently desire “Him,” rather than all the “things” she had been seeking.

uiyy-4.gif (40×40)He (Jesus) acknowledged her “single eye,” which was beginning to look toward Him alone, and in a penetrating expression of love, He said to her, “O My Dove” (Song of Solomon 2:14a). Because of her “single eye” (she now desires Him, rather than the things He can give), He can begin to inwardly change her into the Bride that He desired her to be.

In the first confession of her spiritual condition, she said:

uiyy-4.gif (40×40)“My mother’s children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but my own vineyard have I not kept.” Song of Solomon 1:6b

She had been a very dedicated worker “for” the Lord. Even in the heat of the day, while others rested, she worked until she became burned by the sun, (I am black, but comely). During this time, she did not personally know the Lord; neither did she know His voice nor His leadings. She did only as others told her to do (They made me the keeper of the vineyard).

She had been so faithful in doing all that was required of her, that her own vineyard was being neglected. This neglected vineyard speaks of the “ground” upon which the Lord works in order to change us. This “ground” speaks of our life being consecrated to the Lord. It encompasses all the people and the circumstances, which the Lord uses to bring about our spiritual development and growth.

uiyy-4.gif (40×40)“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

It is encouraging to know that the Lord will come to meet us, even in the place of neglect, when we confess our need to Him. It becomes “good ground” when we place the Lord in full control of all that pertains to us, and invite Him to come within the “room” (a set apart place) where we meet with Him, and He with us.

uiyy-4.gif (40×40)“But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.” Matthew 13:8-9

This “good ground” is “quality time” that we have set apart to meet with the Lord for intimate fellowship with Him. Also, it is very important that we have a special “place” (closet) that we have sanctified and set apart for our times of fellowship with the Lord.

uiyy-4.gif (40×40)“But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly.” Matthew 6:6

Along with this “set apart” time and place for intimate communion with the Lord, we should make the total area of our “life experience” to be as an “open door” for Him to enter. We can do this by keeping the “poise” of our spirit upward toward the Lord, no matter where we are, or what we are doing. It is this that encourages and releases the Lord to become active in making of us the Bride that He desires.

uiyy-4.gif (40×40)“Let the Bridegroom go forth of His chamber, and the Bride out of her closet.” Joel 2:16b

The Lord will always use us to minister to, and meet the needs of others. However, our times of communion “with” Him are more important to Him than anything that we could do “for” Him. He is to have the first place in our lives.

uiyy-4.gif (40×40)“Come, My beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages. Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give you My loves.” Song of Solomon 7:11-12

Notice that we are to “come” before we “go” forth in ministry. Our ministry will be much more effective and productive when it is the result of, and flows out from, our times of communion with the Lord. Our spending time with the Lord will greatly affect our relationship to Him, and to others.

Many servants of the Lord, who fail or get into serious problems, do so because of negligence at this very point. They work so hard for the Lord that they become spiritually weakened and succumb to temptation, or to side issues that take them from the center of the Lord’s will and purpose for their lives. This happened to the Bride. Thus, she confessed her failure, “My mother’s children were angry with me.”

It is very important that we maintain quality times of worship, prayer, waiting upon the Lord, and devotionally reading the Word. She had neglected her own spiritual development and growth, along with her times of intimate communion “with” the Lord, through being busy working diligently “for” Him. We must keep in mind that our ability to impart spiritual substance and life to others, results from that which we have first received.

We are called to work “with” the Lord, rather than “for” Him.

uiyy-4.gif (40×40)“And He goes up into a mountain, and calls to Him whom He would: and they came to Him. And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach, And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils.” Mark 3:13-15

I learned a principle many years ago that greatly affected my life. “If we build God a house of devotion, He will build us a house of ministry.”

If we are faithful in our part, which is “being with Him;” then He will be faithful in His part, “to send us forth.”

uiyy-4.gif (40×40)“That I may cause those that love Me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.” Proverbs 8:21

This “substance” is the very nature and life of God imparted into our lives, so it can be given to others. We cannot give what we do not have.

The Bride had asked the Lord to “Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples” (Song of Solomon 2:5a). In response to her desire, He brought her to the banqueting table, and blessed her so abundantly with all she wanted, that she became filled beyond the capacity that she had at that time.

uiyy-4.gif (40×40)“For I am sick of love.” Song of Solomon 2:5b

The Dance of Simplicity
Poetry/Song/Psalm | 10 Mei 2012 | 20:23:23

 The Dance of Simplicity

dancebeloved.jpg (400×524)

What does it take to abide inside
The all consuming fire

LOVE's passionate blue flame
Where only JOY radiates your frame
And lifts your spirit higher

Solitude
Alone time with only You
A separate area - outdoors or a simple room
A heart that seeks, asks, knocks
Begs for mysteries to be unlocked

If you diligently seek
Remaining childlike at His feet
He will release all the keys
Meditation in prayer
Until His voice comes in clear
Simple communion develops intimacy's union
As you stay here

If you need Wisdom
Simply ask and she will be given
If you love her ~ she will love you

Passion for the ways of "right"
Will flood your heart, spirit, and mind
Nothing else will be desired

Anything short of this way
Will simply not be okay

Guard ear gates, eye gates
And above all ~ your heart
And you will never lose fire's spark

Cast off care and worry
Wear the garment of praise
As a constant covering

Then in His presence comes fullness of JOY
For He is light and there is no shadow of turning
Take not your eyes off of His penetrating gaze
Look not at self for condemnation or praise

It is all from Him in the first place
He receives all the glory
As you are simply a vessel in His story

Keep redirecting all back to Him
Merry is a heart as joy heals like a medicine

Light lifts and lightens every load
Soon this current will loose control
And allow you to simply relish in its flow

No human wings can hold or carry me
Only Your LOVE ~ Father as You lead
Through these steps in this ~ Dance of Simplicity

Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame.  Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away.If one were to give all the wealth of one’s house for love, it would be utterly scorned.

Seal Upon My Heart
Poetry/Song/Psalm | 03 Mei 2012 | 08:51:07

 23xe3.gif (395×56)

You make my heart rejoice when I hear Your still small voice
whisper teaching and promises
everlasting covenants
A seal upon my heart

I raise high the Cup of Salvation and call upon the Holy Name of ADONAI
My ADONAI

I vow to You in Your assembly in the courts of Your House
Your very Heart: Jerusalem
Jerusalem

You make my heart rejoice when I hear Your still small voice
whisper teaching and promises
everlasting covenants
A seal upon my heart
